Everyone is being reminded to follow Public Health England advice to:

  • Apply to social distancing rules
  • Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

Test Results

test_vials2Please call the surgery after 11:00 for results allowing 7 days for bloods, urine and X-ray results and 4 weeks for smear test results. Specialist tests may take longer.

Test results can be given by our Nursing Team who will advise whether an appointment with the doctor is necessary.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.

Specimens must always be provided in proper laboratory containers to avoid test invalidation and for health and safety reasons.  Please ask at reception for a container if you have not been given one.
